Some teams you can tell they are going to come back down to earth. The ducks have been consistent though and they aren’t “getting lucky”. They’re playing well. I see no reason why they’d collapse. Terry will not score at his pace forever but he’s not going to stop scoring all together.

Yep, good to see he's getting back to that part of the game. Having Lucic, Zadorov & Gudbrandson takes the having to be a tough guy out of his game & back to his usual rat bast***d tormenting ways that are effective.

Tkachuk's next deal will either hurt the cap or force us to trade him. That family is tough to get a deal done with. Don't think LA is his first choice of a place to play, but a trade could be worked out. I just don't know what LA has to deal other than Byfield and Turcotte.

I think most of the league would love to have him on their team, its just no one can stand him when he's not.

With the Pension line on for both goals against, this might be a good time to give Ruzicka some time.

There’s no chance the Flames don’t sign Tkachuk Sutter has him playing smarter hockey. He’s the future captain of this bunch, perfect player to drag them to battle.
Gadreau on the other hand might be tough to convince to stay. He keeps saying he wants to but until he signs an extension it’s just lip service.
Lucic looks like he’s really enjoying playing hockey again maybe getting him out of that 2 horse show has revitalized him.
Love Sutters post game interview. Guy gives credit where it’s due but also tells it like it is. No nonsense interview must drive the reporters crazy.

I know I said this before, but having the Stockton Heat playing great hockey really takes some pressure off having to resign everyone.

Sorry! A lot of the core on the Ducks are just really young. Usually younger teams fall off by the stretch drive. Getzlaf is week-to-week now, so the next few games will be an interesting test for them.

He might be a different kinda guy outside the hockey universe. I used to think the same of Dan Carcillo. He certainly was a sh8t when he played and has to answer to his maker for his reckless (at best) play. Carcillo, post retirement, now presents as an introspective dude who is trying to do a lot for people with brain injury and other mental disorders.

The stuff today wasn’t trolling though. I’m no stranger to the Ducks, and it was an easy observation to make that their success isn’t sustainable. Two hours after the piece comes out their 36 year old, high mileage first line center is announced as week-to-week.
